Apple iPad Pro 3rd Generation (11 inch, Wi-Fi) (Refurbished)

This is the value sweet spot of the entire used iPad market, and it's worth being specific about why.

The M1 is the same chip Apple shipped in the MacBook Air — 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, with [8GB / 16GB] of memory. It clears the bar for Apple Intelligence, which requires M1 or newer, and it's on the supported list for iPadOS 27 arriving late 2026. So this is a five-year-old tablet with years of software life ahead of it.

Then there's what the Pro badge actually buys. The 11-inch Liquid Retina display runs ProMotion at 120Hz — adaptive refresh that makes scrolling and Apple Pencil input feel instant. No iPad Air or iPad mini Apple sells today has it. 2388 × 1668 at 264 ppi, fully laminated, True Tone, P3 wide colour, anti-reflective, and 600 nits, brighter than the current Air.

The port is Thunderbolt / USB 4 at 40 Gb/s — four times the bandwidth of the model before it, and eight times a standard iPad. It drives a 6K display, reads directly from fast external SSDs, and ingests a card full of footage in the time it takes to put the camera down. On a tablet this is genuinely unusual.

Face ID unlocks in any orientation. Four speakers and five studio microphones handle audio properly. The rear camera pairs a 12MP wide with a 10MP ultra wide and a LiDAR scanner for AR and depth. The 12MP Ultra Wide front camera introduced Center Stage, which keeps you framed as you move during calls.

It takes the Apple Pencil (2nd generation), magnetically attached and charged on the side, and both the Magic Keyboard and Smart Keyboard Folio.

5.9 mm thick, 466 g, and still thinner than most of Apple's current line.

Worth knowing before you buy

The 11-inch model uses a Liquid Retina LCD — the mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR display was exclusive to the 12.9-inch version of this generation. If you've read about mini-LED on the 2021 Pro, that's the bigger one.
