Motion Control puts rhythmic and multidimensional control at the musician’s fingertips, allowing for sound that ranges from radical to sublime.

Super Knob

Create dynamic sound changes from radical to sublime with the Super Knob. The Super Knob can control multiple parameters simultaneously, enabling any sound imaginable. You can shift your listening position from the front of an instrument to the back of a concert hall or radically alter a performance’s character from soft and ambient to rhythmic and edgy. The Super Knob can even be assigned to a second FC7 foot controller, allowing you to manipulate sound while playing with both hands.

USB Audio/MIDI Connection

Connect MONTAGE to your computer using a single USB cable and capture every nuance of your creativity in your DAW. MONTAGE features a powerful USB driver capable of sending and receiving 16 and 3 channels of 24-bit/44.1 kHz digital stereo audio to and from your computer or iOS device. MONTAGE is also class-compliant, requiring no additional hardware. The USB connection provides full 16-channel MIDI support. MONTAGE supports sample rates up to 192 kHz.

Cubase AI

MONTAGE comes with Cubase AI, Steinberg’s professional music production application, offering integrated recording and editing. Cubase AI is a special, compact version that uses the same core technologies as Cubase Pro—available exclusively for select Steinberg and Yamaha products. It provides all the essential tools for recording, editing, and mixing, from the initial idea to the final masterpiece. Cubase AI is the perfect entry into computer-based music production, offering powerful and easy-to-use software tools for all genres.
